Title: The Selection
Author: Kiera Cass
Series: The Selection #1
Pages: 330

I started reading this book 21/1-2017 and I finished it 28/1-2017

Text from the back of the book:
In a world of glittering gowns and priceless jewels THE SELECTION is the chance of a lifetime: to compete for gorgeous Prince Maxon’s heart. But for America Singer it means turning her back on her secret love, and leaving home for a prize she doesn’t want.

Then America meets Maxon and all her plans start to crumble. Can the life she’s always dreamed of compare to a future she never imagined?

My thoughts on the book:
I really enjoyed this books. Mainly I liked America Singer, but of course a lot of the other characters are good as well. Well at least some of them. Of course, there are some characters that will just rub you the wrong way – like one of the other Selection girls. I will not say any names, just in case you that are reading this review haven’t read this book yet.
Of course, I must name Prince Maxon – mainly because he is a huge character in this book, since it does surround him and his selection to find a girl to one day become a queen of their country. But I a didn’t quite like him in the beginning, mainly because we only saw him from the TV. But when he starts to talk to America and they talk about just anything he really grows on me.
Then I must name Aspen, who I think in the beginning are such wonderful person but then everything changed when America was chosen for the Selection. And I was so heartbroken and mad at Aspen when he just left America and then when she went to be a part of the Selection I felt pretty much everything that America felt when she was thinking about Aspen.
And then there is also Americas family and they seem like amazing people, but we don’t get to much information on them in this book. Hopefully there will be more about Americas family in some of the other books.

Rating 1-5: 5
